Where The Journey Takes You

Where The Journey Takes YouWhere The Journey Takes You (book)

Print: $14.95

Jeremiah is a man with a past. He has spent years avoiding his feelings, living in a world of fear and isolation, locked into his self constructed prison. Things are about to change. Through a fantastic series of events, his world is turned completely inside out. He is left with no choice but to forge ahead - trying to become the person that he was destined to be, while reconciling with his bitter past. Where The Journey Takes You is a spiritual fantasy which combines elements of poetry, adventure, spirituality and fantasy to present a unique perspective on life's journey.

The Sacred Dance: Poetry to Nourish the SpiritThe Sacred Dance: Poetry to Nourish the Spirit (book)

Poetry is a way to express the innermost thoughts and feelings which arise from the very core of our being. The calling of the poet is to transform the everyday world into a place of wonder, to reveal the spirit which hides behind the physical world, and to invite the reader to take part in the Great Mystery of Creation. It is my heart's desire that in these pages you will experience the sacredness of life and the connectedness of all God's creatures.

Where The Journey Takes You 6 Jun 2008 by John Powers No matter what path we travel on our journey we end up discovering more about our own story. Our Souls are made of the stories we are told and those we tell. Bob Perry has told a tale of a soul's (Jeremiah's) journey to new life. The story is a great read that touches where we live and love, laugh and learn to lose, and then love again. I have placed the book in the bag of a young seminarian on route to minister for the summer in Honduras. He asked for some reading so I included the book in a pile of books I gave him. I told him to pass it along so that the book can have many lives. Fr. John Powers, C.P. It pulled me in from the beginning and it made me feel as if I was going through the journey with Jeremiah. At the end, it made me think of my own life's journey. **************************************** Where the Journey Takes You 17 Mar 2008 by Karen Ryll I enjoyed the journey of this man Jeremiah so much and when I got to the end I could not help wishing that I was him...that I would have been faithful to persevere like he did and come to the end of the journey finding healing as my reward. I felt that I wanted to be him because he had gone through the journey and had learned so much and realized so much and experienced healing! **************************************** Where The Journey Takes You 7 Mar 2008 by VINCE LOMBARDI While editing the recordings for the audio version of your book, I got to hear what a great job you did in the writing and also in the reading of the book to the blind and print disabled community. I could really see the characters and events. I think you should consider looking into developing a screenplay and pitching it for film production. It seems like a natural. Nice job! At the end of next weeks broadcast I am going to mention if people would like to purchase the two CD set, they could contact Audiojournal. Considering a film I was thinking about a larger or major studio, considering the opportunity for some amazing special effects that you’ve written into your story. It might be worth investigating the possibilities with an agent. I was really that impressed with the story and imagery. Take care, hope you enjoy the CDs. Again, nice job reading. My dad, (THE author of Where the Journey Takes You) did an great job on his book. I loved the part about the Frog man. And the last part was the best! I would recommend this book to everyone who likes adventure. JOSHUA, AGE 10 **************************************** Where the Journey Takes You 14 Oct 2007 by Zoe Lavergne Is a story about a man named Jeremiah, who meets a girl named Cassandra. Cassandra tells Jeremiah that he has a journey ahead of him. I went on this journey with Jeremiah and I am glad I did, and so will you. I thought the author did a spectacular job on the descriptions he used. Zoe, Age 10 **************************************** Where The Journey Takes You 28 Aug 2007 by Susan Valentine It was truly a wonderful read! Although the author reels you in instantly with his rich descriptions of people, places, and things the real treat is the thought provoking journey that unfolds. It is a must read!! **************************************** Review by Kris Teceno 4 Aug 2007 I have been looking forward to reading Bob's book since he told me about it. I was not disappointed! Bob packs so much into about 100 pages. I've read it twice and the second time was even better than the first. I have encouraged my daughters (ages 10 and 12) to go off their summer reading lists and read this. Maybe they'll review it too. I love the imagery and the poetry is great! As a longtime fantasy literature fan I was pleased to be able to say that I know a fantasy writer! More please Bob! **************************************** Where the Journey Takes You by Robert Eugene Perry 28 Jul 2007 by Debra Horan Where the Journey Takes You by first time author Robert Eugene Perry is a slim volume but filled with a large, inspiring message. The story follows Jeremiah on a journey both fantastical yet rooted in real emotion and struggles. He encounters various "guardians" along the way who guide him but also has to deal with tricksters too. The story moves along at a quick pace with many insightful thoughts on humanity and spirituality and is punctuated with verses of poetry. It is a heartfelt tale without being preachy and is open enough to appeal to many different spiritual beliefs. Good luck and looking forward to the next book! Patricia Sargent **************************************** Quite a Powerful and Unique Book! 5 Jul 2007 by Linda Vezina This book captures the reader's attention from the very beginning. It combines fantasy, adventure and whimsical lyrics to tell a story of a boy named Jeremiah. But it is also a powerful thought provoking book of life's journey and the paths we have taken. Like Jeremiah, many of us have come to a fork in the path of our lives and have had to make choices. And like Jeremiah, we are all forging ahead trying to become the person we believe we were destined to be. We have all had different journeys which is what makes this book so powerful. I believe that this book will speak uniquely to everyone depending on where our journey has taken us and the obstacles and hurts we have endured. Quite a thought provoking book! I plan to read this book many more times. Definitely a MUST have book!! **************************************** Where The Journey Takes You 16 Jun 2007 by Carol Mason Fantastic!
