65 Years of Lucy is the third, but not the last, book in the 100 Years of Ermintrude series. It tells the story of Lucy, Ermintrude's daughter, and how qualities like strength and tenacity get passed down in our genes.
25 Years of Tristan is the first sequel to the eponymous 100 Years of Ermintrude. It tells of the tragically short life of Ermintrude's son, Tristan and how we all need to live our lives as if today is our last.
100 Years of Ermintrude is a narrated, musical meditative poem available to be played on your MP3 player, phone or computer. It's a life story told backwards in just 33 stanzas. Although it can be listened to in 15 minutes, it's something that will stay with you forever and you will want to hear again and again.
"Stunning. I cried. that's all," said one man.
Shortly after my first book was published about a year ago, I started mentoring other authors.
After getting over the initial shock of the numbers of people who emerged from apparently nowhere to work with me, I started noticing a common theme and trend emerging.
Ever since reading the Celestine Prophecy, I had been noticing coincidences more [...]
You have probably seen a scene in a film or TV where a writer’s bashing away on an old typewriter, frustratingly tearing out page after page and crushing it up before trying to curl it into an over-flowing waste basket. Later in the same film, they are cursing the gods as yet another rejection letter [...]
I use Mind Mapping daily to organise, store and expand my thought processes. My current novel exists as a wall sized mind map which I add to as new research and knowledge comes my way.
So when I started mentoring authors, it was only natural I used them - both over the Internet using desktop sharing [...]

An increasing number of people are going it alone, leaving the supposed safety of corporate life and setting up shop by themselves.
Either they practice their corporate skill in a private setting or do something completely tangential like setting up a surf shop or feng shui practice for dog’s kennels.
Either way, working for yourself can [...]
Each of us operates in a three dimensional world. Our sense of up and down, backwards and forwards and left and right is embedded deep in our neurology and something we share with most of the animal kingdom. In evolutionary terms, this sense must have evolved millions of years ago, probably in sea life.
With the [...]
Publishing a book is journey. Much like climbing Everest .. or simply going on holiday.
With some planning, the right mind set and the wind behind you and not against you, the journey to publishing heaven can become an enjoyable and calculated process.
Step 1: become lucky
Getting a book in print, publicised and read by the right [...]
I believe that having the perfect title for your book from the outset is really important. Visitors either enter a web site or go elsewhere within 10 seconds.
In the same way, readers decide if they want to know more about a book based on the title, in a similar amount of time.
An evocative title will [...]
It’s somewhat ironic that Edison, who invented the light bulb by trying 10,000 or so possible filaments, probably didn’t know this particular secret. If he did, he could have saved himself a lot of time.
Have you ever woken up one day and had a light bulb moment - perhaps with a brilliant idea for a [...]
Before I started meditating, I thought it was a waste of time. As a busy person, I couldn’t afford to waste even 10 minutes during a day. Now I’ve been doing it for nearly 2 years, I feel I can’t afford not to do it - the benefits to my health, my demeanour AND my [...]
