THERESA . . . has been composing poetry and creative writings since her pre teen years. Her poem, “Society's Child”, was her first published work. It appeared in a national teen magazine when she was just 12 years old and she has been writing profound essays, songs and poetry since that age. The deep nature of her expressiveness comes from a lifetime of surviving . . .of holding on to the light within her while all around her was dark . . .of using humor and creativity to transform fear and pain in to medicine for the heart.

SHAMANKA . . . is a word for medicine woman that originated from Sanskrit. Theresa chose the name Shamanka after surviving being hit at 35 miles per hour and thrown 30 feet while trying to cross a busy intersection on a rainy night in 2003. She was told her right leg would never function again without support but instead of letting that be so she worked for a year to learn to walk again and can now do so with no visible signs of her injuries.

THERESA ~ SHAMANKA . . . Is a creative medicine woman who heals with laughter, wisdom, kindness, sarcasm, spirit, perseverance, awareness, courage, and many other inspiring attributes that spring from her intellect, soul and her soft heart. Her writings and her coaching are all about this.
