Welcome to the publications catalog of the Troth! We in the Troth practice the Germanic/Norse religion of Heathenry, commonly referred to as Ásatrú. There are many variations, names, and practices in Germanic Heathenry, including Theodism, Irminism, Odinism, and Anglo-Saxon Heathenry. What we all share is a defining personal loyalty to, or Troth with, the Gods and Goddesses of the Northlands. Our Gods are of two tribes: the Æsir, and the Vanir. These Gods are: Odin, Thor, Frigga, Frey, Freya,Tyr, Idunna, and many others. We are deeply proud of our Norse/Germanic religious, cultural, and historical heritage. We welcome all, whatever their religious background, who have heard the call of our Gods, and would like to know more about Germanic/Norse Heathenry. Our main Website is http://www.thetroth.org/, where you can find out more about our beliefs and practices, our organization, and our activities. We'll be periodically adding publications here -- especially back issues of our journal IDUNNA, as we get those converted to electronic format -- so if there's something you don't see on this page, drop us a line at troth-contact@thetroth.org and ask. Thank you for your interest!

Print: $6.48 Download: $2.50 The ancient religious ways of the Germanic peoples -- the Norse, Anglo-Saxons, Goths, Germans, and many other tribes -- have not been extinguished. Many persons and groups have been working for years to revive them as a serious and meaningful religion for today. Asatru, Heathenry, Theodism, Odinism, Forn Sed, and the Elder Troth are just a few of the names for various modern sects and variants of this ancient, yet ever-growing religious tradition. This book is a brief yet comprehensive guide to this religion, written by one of its foremost and best-known scholars, ideal for anyone who has heard the call of the ancient Gods and is looking for the best way to answer.

The scripts are complemented by essays on Heathen religious practice, on creating your own rituals, and on daily devotional practices that anyone can do. Anyone who wishes to worship the Germanic Gods and Goddesses will learn much from this book.

Print: $6.63 Download: $2.50 Prison is perhaps the most difficult place for spiritual growth and committment. The ancient pre-Christian religious ways of Scandinavia and the Germanic countries—commonly known as Asatru, Odinism, Heathenry, or by still other names—are one of the fastest-growing religions among the US prison population. Unfortunately, this religion is all too often tainted with a foreign ideology of racism and "white supremacy". How can prisoners who are Asatru, Odinist, or Heathen learn about their faith and live it out in daily life, in an authentic way? This book offers a course of study for incarcerated Heathens. It should also be useful for families and friends of inmates, and prison chaplains and administrators, who are interested in learning about Germanic religion as a living tradition today.
