Mr Alan Brooke
I wanted to be a writer from a very young age, so much so that I'd written my first published piece at eight, my first novella at twelve and my first full length novel at fifteen. From my very first scribble I have never been without a pen.
I've always wanted to be a chef, to work intimately with food. From an age beyond memory I have been creating something culinary, be it beautiful or inedible it was still something.
I always wanted to travel, being restricted to a small northern town for eighteen years will do that to a man, especially a man who refuses to believe that life is merely a blend of factory work and sleep, with the occasional happy Christmas.
So I guess I'm bound by my instincts to write about being a travelling chef. This, the first, is more a lead up to something much bigger; seven novella's for seven continents. I call it research though I doubt I'll ever have as much fun again.
