. . . graduated from Haverford College and studied at The University of Chicago. He worked as a freelance writer in Chicago, then worked or wrote for Cavalier, The New York Free Press, and The New York Review of Books. An interview with the American writer, William Slater Brown, has been used as a model of short biography in a graduate course at Ohio State University.
Pritchard has completed four novels, Benny's Mission, Summer, The Thrift Shop Murders, and Symphony, a novella, Terminal Vibrato, and a collection of short stories, Just Tell What Happened. He has published three chapbooks of poetry, Kindling, Warming Up, and Sparks in the Chimney, and a poetry collection, Making Up for Lost Dreams. He has written eighteen one-act, and two full-length, plays, has been produced Off-Off-Broadway, and is a member of PEN and the Dramatists Guild.
