Sequel to Private Dick Hackney McTrite. They were beautiful prostitutes. Though nude, except for one hibiscus bloom covering their pubic area, none had been molested. What mental sickness drove this killer. It begins in Paris where McTrite has escaped to avoid retribution from the Mob. McTrite doesn't know that Mob Boss Alphonse Infantino has offered $300,000 for his head on a platter. He doesn't know that half the hoodlums in Europe are searching for him. He’s too busy enjoying his newly acquired fortune. He’s dating a Parisian femme fatale. The involvement is platonic. Well, mostly. He still grieves his wife’s demise at the hands of the Mob. In his spare time he’s writing this book, which is a flash back to when he started his PI business. The intrigue, will McTrite live to enjoy his newly acquired wealth, is woven throughout the narrative. The mystery, will McTrite narrow the field of suspects and stop the pillow strangler, becomes the eternal question?

These Wimbledon stories are factual experiences of a tennis aficionado (nut) who fell in love with tennis after reaching the ripe age of forty-nine. This fact bears significantly upon the creation of the narration that I, Walker Joe Jackson, felt compelled to tell. If the wonderful game of tennis had not discovered me, 'The Queue' would still be a mystery, and I would have been denied the pleasures of Wimbledon. Will I go again? The question is not, will I, but when? I wish to mention here, before I forget, that occasionally some color and satire have been contrived to eliminate the banality of some of the sketches and characters. It's especially true in my case. However, all events and circumstances mentioned actually happened. If I said I did it, I did it. If I said I saw it, I saw it. However, any resemblance of a person living or dead is purely coincidental.

Intrepid and all around lovable Irishman Hackney McTrite comes to life in this short story collection. The 12 stories are gleaned from my multi-plotted PI adventures. Therefore, if you read this book you won’t be cheated appreciably when you read the published books. The stories are entertaining. You will enjoy the read. You will want more. You will experience emotions that'll leave you in stitches or tears in your eyes. The question has been asked, was Hackney McTrite ever young? Yes he was, and he had a mother. But he had no sisters and brothers. One Hackney was enough for the McTrites. I endowed him with a photographic memory. Brains come out of his Yahoo. He may become a folk hero and household word in my time. I’m hopeful.

McTrite moves his office to a prestigious address uptown New Orleans and hires Deloris Pillsbury, a youthful, attractive assistant. The chase takes him to Biloxi and Las Vegas. The copycat murderer will come as a complete surprise. In the here and now narrative, a near deathly boat collision results in the discovery of a Ball canning jar in Lake Pontchartrain. It contains an introductory letter, will, two maps and a key. This discovery takes him to London and Paris and London again to prevent the murder of the benefactor of the will. I’ve thrown in the Coca-Cola stock caper for good measure. Oh! Yes! He attends his class reunion. It’s comical till he's almost murdered.

Emetic horror. Blood Trust, a group of seven cold blooded murderers meet at haunted Chimerical Manor to confess their killing stories. Thus, seven horrifying stories await you; however, when McTrite joins, he tells his. Manor owner and Trust organizer Benson Ballard is also a haunter. "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat," said Edgar Allan Poe. Since his after-spirit is an honorary member of 'BLOOD TRUST', a brief excerpt taken from his 'The Devil in the Belfry', seems a befitting introduction. When I fly-off on tangents, please forgive me. And, if my images seem beyond belief, accept them as intended, to entertain. Eat your heart out Stephen King. Rave: I'm about half-way through Blood Trust and am enjoying it thoroughly! While I didn't find McTrite as engrossing -- as I'm not much for the genre -- it, too, was well-written. The very idea of Blood Trust is interesting, and you capture the characters well.
