Wednesday Night Writing Group members initially met while taking a non-credit fiction writing class at Mahoning County Career & Technical Center in Youngstown, Ohio. We soon found that we represented an amazingly diverse blend of writing styles and genres. Despite this, or maybe because of it, we managed to form a group that supports and encourages the creative efforts of all members.

After the class officially ended, we continued to meet at our usual time on Wednesday nights. The group began as a way for us to learn more about our craft. It has become much more than that. It has grown into a collection of strong friendships, a forum for our multi-faceted work and a way for us to improve our skills. Despite our many varied writing styles, backgrounds and beliefs we have come to respect each other’s differences and to grow, not only as writers but as people too.

The group has enabled us to keep growing as writers and has nurtured the bonds of friendship and trust that started during that long ago writer's course. Before the creation of the group, we could only share our writings with our friends and families. Now, we have the knowledge, the confidence and the skills to share our work with the world.

We invite you to read our works.
