Welcome to the storefront of Year of the Bear, an online literary magazine of short story and novelette-length apocalyptic fiction and origin myths. In addition to publishing individual issues of the magazine, there will be annual anthologies published for those who'd enjoy a plethora of reading options all in one sitting.

Both individual issues and anthologies will be published in print and downloadable formats. Our goal is to eventually become a small press--but that will have to wait.
